Simcha Guidelines
The Library Minyan is a community, not just a prayer service. Since Judaism is at the core of our lives, we love it when our members seek to celebrate their special moments with the community. Our celebrations are particularly meaningful when they involve those who have been long-time participants in the activities of the Library Minyan community.
We have prepared guidelines about how we celebrate, in order to bring together as much information as we can for all those members of the Library Minyan community who are thinking about marking a simcha with the kahal. A member of the Library Minyan community is also our “Simcha Coordinator”, responsible for helping you coordinate your plans for this special day with the ongoing activities of the Library Minyan (and, maybe, the celebrations of others going on that day too).
If you are planning a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, then the Library Minyan Bar/Bat Mitzvah Guidelines should be read in conjunction with the information provided by the Temple Beth Am Bar/Bat Mitzvah coordinator. Please remember that a Bar/Bat Mitzvah can only be scheduled through the Temple Beth Am scheduling process, and not directly with the Library Minyan.
If you are planning to celebrate an upcoming marriage or commitment ceremony, we have Aufruf Guidelines that are customized for this special occasion.
Please contact Fran Grossman, the Simcha Coordinator, by email to SimchaCoordinator@LibraryMinyan.org with any questions or to discuss your plans.
