DPL Shabbat Dinners

Shabbat Dinners in Geographically Dispersed Homes

The Diaspora Potluck Committee is excited to announce that the annual Shabbat Dinners in Geographically Dispersed Homes (SDIGDH) will take place on January 20, 2017. Both Minyan regulars and newcomers are welcome to sign up as guests.

Hosting individuals or families will open their homes to 6-10 pre-assigned guests each in a more or less random manner. If you enroll as a guest, your host will make contact about two weeks before the dinner to communicate the start time and discuss what you can contribute to the meal.

When you sign up as a guest for the dinner, please indicate if you will be walking (and how far you’re willing to walk —we have homes in varying directions from TBA, so we should be able to place everyone within a convenient walking distance). Also be sure to indicate if you are vegetarian, have any food or animal allergies, and the ages of your children who will be attending.

Guests will be enrolled on a first come, first served basis. So please sign up as soon as possible and no later than January 8.

One of the benefits of The Shabbat Dinners in Geographically Dispersed Homes is getting acquainted with people we see across the room, or even sit near to, but don’t really know. Both hosts and guests will be embarking on a mini-adventure.

Guests can sign up below or they can contact the DPL Co-Chairs: Deborah Blum (deborahblum12@gmail.com) or Michelle Wolf (michellekwolfla@gmail.com) with any questions.

Guests, please sign up here.
